Trauma and Psychosomatic Concerns

Headache

Quite often, the issues that we are facing today are a result of some incident that happened in the past, a traumatic event that not just disturbed us when it happened but has a severe consequential impact as well. Each of us experiences trauma differently and therefore the impact it has cannot be generalised to everyone.

  • Childhood trauma - Childhood trauma has a lot more impact on our lives than we can imagine. It might have experiences with violent or abusive parents or parents with their own interpersonal issues being projected on the child, harassment, bullying or others.

  • Psychosomatic Concerns - Unlike the popular notion of it is all in the head, Psychosomatic concerns do have a physical explanation for our pain but it is mostly driven by our psychological issues like depression or anxiety that might exacerbate our breathing issues or digestion issues.
